    Brigid worked 16.75 hr

    Kevin worked 12.50 hr

Round to the nearest whole number by looking if the tenths are greater than 5

Round up Brigid to 17 hrs because 7 is greater than or equal to 5

Round up Kevin to 13 hrs because 5 is greater than or equal to 5

    Subtract their times

    17-13 = 4 hrs

Comparing it to the original answer (if we didn't estimate) of 4.25, it is pretty close and 4 hrs is a good estimate
