Claire is organizing a retirement dinner for her boss. The restaurant where she plans to hold the dinner has a maximum capacity of 125 people. She already has reservations from 77 people. To meet the capacity requirements of the restaurant, the number of additional reservations she may take must not exceed what number?

    Well she counts as a person so there are currently 78 people attending

    125 - 78 = 47 people

    The maximum people that can enter is, 125.

    She already has, 77.

    So you have to subtract,

    125-77.

    And that will give you,

    48 open spots. No more will be able to enter.
