    no

    Step-by-step explanation:

The standard course called 'Intermediate Algebra' is a fast-paced version of Algebra I, through the quadratic formula. This course is now considered remedial in Ohio, and other states are moving to do the same. The problem is that 70-80% of students moving to higher education cannot start above this level, and most do not improve in remediation.

'College Algebra' is the first 'college-level' Mathematics course, and is generally the non-Trigonometry material in high school Algebra II, so more stuff with equations, basic logarithms and exponentials.
