    -2m+7=11

    you moved the 7 to the other side which means the sign changes so instead of a + 7 it would be a - 7 underneath the 11

    -2m=11

    -7

    Then you subtract 11-7 so it would be a positive 4. its a positive because the 11 is greater than the - 7.

    -2m=4

    You would have to divide the - 2 on both sides so the m could be alone.

    -2m/-2=4/-2

    So the two negatives cancel each other out and 4/-2 would be a - 2 so a negative and a negative would equal a positive

    m=-2

    Subtract 7 from both sides

    -2m = 11 - 7

    Simplify 11 - 7 to 4

    -2m = 4

    Divide both sides by - 2

    m = - 4/2

    Simplify 4/2 to 2

    m = - 2
