    25/100=x/12

    100x=300

    100x/100=300/100

    x=3

    12+3=15

    3 is 25 percent of 12 so the new price is $15

    Adding 25% is multiplying by 1.25:

    $12 * (1 + 25/100) = 12 (1.25) = $15

    Answer: $15
