    m = fee per month for usage

    y = total cost/payment

    Plan A

    y = 20m + 40 (you buy the phone for $40, which is a one time purchase, and have to pay $20 each month)

    Plan B

    y = 30m (only have to pay $30 each month)

    A = 40 + 20x

    B = 30x

    These answers would just be the equations because Plan B would eventually catch up to Plan A so Plan B is the best option.
