Billy deleted 64 songs from his MP3 player. If the ratio of songs he deleted to songs he kept was 8:3, how many songs did he originally have on his MP3 player?

    64 divided by 8 is 8, which is the first part of the ratio. therefore you multiply 3 by 8 and get 24. you add 64 and 24 and get 88
