    Here, the first step would be to convert all the measurements into a single unit.

    Since inches is the smallest units, we convert all the measurements to inches

    The conversion is 1 yard = 36 inches

    Width = 6 yards 24 inches

    Width (in inches) = 6*36 + 24 = 240 inches

    Length = 5 yards

    Length (in inches) 5*36 = 180 inches

    Ratio of the width to the length = 240/180 = 4/3

    Ratio of the width : length = 4 : 3
