    For f (x) = ax²+bx+c

thex value of the veretx and the axis of symmetry is - b/2a

    given

    f (x) = - 5x²+0x+1

    -b/2a=-0 / (2*-5) = 0

the x value of vertex is 0, also x=0 is the axis of symmetry

    to find y value, evaluate f (0)

    f (0) = - 5 (0) ²+1

    f (0) = 0+1

    f (0) = 1

the axis of symmetry is x=0

    the vertex is (0,1)
