Henry knows that the area of a rectangle is 30 square inches the perimeter is 22 inches if the length is 1 inch longer than the width what are the length and width of Henry's rectangle? Explain how you know.

    The length is 6 inches, and the width is 5 inches. If the perimeter is 22, and I know that opposite sides of a rectangle are equal. So 6+6 equals 12, and 5+5 equals 10. 12+10=22. Just to check, if I multiply 6 by 5, I get the area of 30

    So if u have 30 as ur total then take 22 out and 1 more what ever is left is u width
