The final depth of the diver is 19.1 feet or 19 1/10 feet.

    Step-by-step explanation:

In order to solve this problem we first need to convert the mixed fractions to decimals, to make the math easyer. To do that we sum the integer part with the fraction part as shown bellow:

    distance 1 = 13 + 5/2 = 13 + 2.5 = 15.5 feet

    distance 2 = 3 + 3/5 = 3 + 0.6 = 3.6 feet

Since the diver descended two times the final depth after his second descent is the sum of both distances. We have:

    final depth = 15.5 + 3.6 = 19.1 feet = 19 1/10 feet
