A company is planning to manufacture mountain bikes. The fixed monthly cost will be $400,000 and it will cost $200 to produce each bicycle.

    I'm guessing that this is supposed to be an equation for cost.

    First we take the 400,000, and add it to the rest,

    400,000 +, now we add a variable,

    400,000 + x, since it costs 200 dollars to make a bike, we'll add it to the variable,

    400,000 + 200x < there's your equation!
