Mr. Lash has 42 pounds of dog food to divide among his dogs. If each dog receives 7/8 pounds of food for each feeding, how many times can Mr. Lash feed his animals?

    It doesn't as at how many dogs he has but

    42➗7/8 = 48

    48 feedings for one dog

    48/2 = 24 feedings each dog

    48 / # of dogs = how many feedings per dog
