    So to solve this equation we need to simplify the expression like so,

    First write out the equation (I assume that you mean x2 as 2x)

    2x+x (x-5) - x+7

    Distribute

    2x+x^2-5x-x+7

    Combine like terms

    -4x+x^2+7
