A football field shaped like a rectangle is 64m wide and 100meters long. A player runs from one corner of the field in a diagonal line to the opposite corner. How far did the player run

    Hi

    the diagonal cut your field in two rectangle triangle

    then : according to Pythagoras : diagonal² = 100² + 64² = 14096

    diagonal = √14096 ≈118.73 meters

    well - √14096 is also a solution but in real life - 118.73 has no meaning.
