    7 students carrying a backpack out of 10 total students = 7/10

700 students attending divided by 10 students from formation, equals 70

    in multiplication, it would be 70 • 10 = 700

do the same to the numerator of the fraction

    7 • 70 = 490 students carrying a backpack

so, your final answer would be:

if 700 students are attending this assembly, based o the formation, 490 students would be carrying a backpack
