    34 tickets

They sold 80 tickets at 6 dollars each already.

    That's 80*6 = 480.

To find out how many more they need to sell you have to subtract the money already gotten from the targeted amount.

    That's 750-480=270.

They 270 more dollars so to find how many more tickets they need to sell, you divide the amount of money by the price of the ticket.

    That's 270:8=33.75.

They can't sell. 75 of a ticket so you round the number up to the next unit. You would get 34 tickets as the answer.

In an inequality you need to put the variable you don't know as an unknown variable such as x.

What you don't know is the number of tickets. They cost 8 dollars each so the value would be 8x.

Then you put in what you already know which is that you already sold 480 dollars worth but you need 8x to reach your goal.

    This would now be 480 + 8x.

Then you put in what you are trying to find as the inequality.

Since you need to get at least $75, then the symbol you would use would be ≥ (greater than or equal to).

    Then you write your inequality.

    This would be 480 + 8x ≥ 750.

    34 tickets

    Step-by-step explanation:

$6 x 80 = 480 so they already made $480 and they need $750 so just subtract 750 by 480 to get 270 so they $270 and $270 divided by $8 equals 33.75 rounded equals 34 so they will have to sell 34 more tickets to reach there goal.
