A sequence is defined below.

f (0) = 7

f (n) = 2f (n-1) - 3 for n ≥ 1, where n is an integer

What is the third number in the sequence?

    We have,

    f (0) = 7

    f (1) = 2f (1-1) - 3 = 2*7-3 = 11

    f (2) = 2f (2-1) - 3 = 2*11-3 = 22 - 3 = 19

    Hence 19 is the third no. in the sequence
