Rafael rented a truck for one day. there was a base fee of $15.99, and there was an additional charge of 76 cents for each mile driven. rafael had to pay $136.07 when he returned the truck. for how many miles did he drive the truck?

    To answer this question we will firstly deduct the initial payment that rafa el had to pay which was 15.99.

    So 136.07 - 15.99 = 120.08. Now this is the amount basically that he drove around. So if we divide 12008 by 76 we will get the number of miles he drove.

    So 12008 / 76 = 158 miles. So we have calculated the total number of miles Rafael traveled and paid for.
