How do change 1 and 1/4 into a decimal

    Okay leave to whole one alone. Now divide the numerator (top number) by the denominator (bottom number) 1:4=.25 now add the whole one to it and it would be 1.25. Answer:1:4=.25, 1+.25=1.25
