    we are given

    climbing rate = 4m/s

    after 3 second,

    he climbed = 4*3=12m

    and

    he was 13 meters below the edge of the volcano

    so, total distance is 12+13=25m

    so, distance of the edge of the volcano when he started climbing is 25m ... Answer

    speed=4m/s

    time = distance / speed

    time = 25/4

    time is 6.25sec ... Answer
