B) 18 + 2 = 20 and 20 + 18 = 28

    The answer is A.) 18+9=27 and 50-27=23

    Step-by-step explanation:

First, you need to find out the important information. The important information in this problem is the fact that they made 18 invitations on Saturday, then you see that Lauren made 1/2 (18), and they have 50 by the next Saturday.

Then, you have to solve for the first equation. 1/2 of 18 is 9 so you have to add 18+9 and you get 27.

Then, you have to figure out the second part of the equation. You know that they made 50 in total, so you have to subtract 27 from 50 and you get 23.

Finally, you find out that the answer is A.) 18+9=27 and 50-27=23
