    Let us assume the amount of baskets Joe scored = x baskets.

    4 times of x is 4x.

    4x+x = 5x.

    Therefore, Peter scored = 5x.

    Together they scored = 32 baskets.

    Sum of Peter score and Joe score = 32.

    x+5x = 32.

    6x = 32.

    Dividing both sides by 6, we get

    x = 32/6

    = 16/3.

    x = 16/3.

    Joe scored = 16/3 baskets. Peter scored = 5 * 16/3 = 80/3 baskets.
