To distribute the 2/3, this is what you do.

    2/3[8 (5-2) ^2 + 3*2] = (2/3) (8) (5-2) ^2 + (2/3) (3*2) =

Now you can continue. You need to follow the correct order of operations.

    = (2/3) (8) (3^2) + (2/3) (6)

    = (2/3) (8) (9) + 4

    = (2/3) (9) (8) + 4

    = (6) (8) + 4

    = 48 + 4

    = 52

This is how I would have done it.

    2/3[8 (5-2) ^2 + 3*2] =

    = 2/3[8 (3) ^2 + 6]

    = 2/3[8 * 9 + 6]

    = 2/3[72 + 6]

    = 2/3[78]

    = 2 * 1/3 (78)

    = 2 * 26

    = 52
