    First, subtract 2 from both sides to isolate the variable and you get n/6=-10. Then, since the variable is in a fraction which also means it is being divided, you undo it with multiplication, so multiply both sides by 6 to get n=-60

    N/6+2 = - 8

    N/6+2-2 = - 8-2

    N/6 = - 10

    N/6*6 = - 10*6

    N = - 60
