    3x-1/2 - 2 (4+3x) / 13 = 2

    distribute

    3x - 1/2 - 8/13 - 6x/13 = 2

    combine like terms

    3x-6x/13 - 1/2 - 8/13 = 2

    multiply by 26 to get rid of the fractions (2*13)

    26 * (3x-6x/13 - 1/2 - 8/13) = 2*26

    78x - 12x - 13 - 16 = 52

    66x - 29 = 52

    add 29 to each side

    66x = 81

    x = 81/66

    divide top and bottom by 3

    x=27/22

    x = 1 5/22
