What is the correct answer for the equation. - 7 - x+9=7

    you combine like terms:

    -7+9 is 2

    -x+2=7

    you move + 2 to the right side of the equal sign and that becomes - 2

    -x=7-2

    -x=5

    divide - 1 by both side which becomes

    x=-5
