Tom rolls a number cube twice. What is the probability that the sum of the 2 rolls is less than 9, given that the first roll is a 6?

    Knowing that the first roll is a 6, we basically just need to find the probability of the dice getting a 2 or under.

    Because a number cube has 6 sides, the probability of rolling a 2 or under is 2/6, or 1/3.

    The probability is 1/3.
