We are taking a survey with kids from different grades on which movie genre they prefer best. There are 4 ninth graders and 3 of them do not prefer action but one does. What is the probabilty that a student does not prefer action, given that the student is in 9th grade?

    If there are 4 ninth graders total, and 3 of them don't like action, the probability of a randomly selected ninth grader not preferring action is 3/4.

    If there are more than 4 ninth graders total - the survey suggests that approximately 3/4 ninth graders do not prefer action. We can then approximate the probability that a randomly selected ninth grader does not prefer action as 3/4.
