What is the remainder when a' - 4 is divided by a+2?

    a/-4 divided by a/2

    a/-4 multiplied by 2/a

    Make it multiplication and move the 2 to the top 2/a, then multiply crossing out the a's and you are left with - 8/1 or - 8
