    Should be around 2.6 pounds

    2/3+7/9 = 1.444444

    + 2 + 3.444444

    6-3.444444 = 2.555556

    Round that up to 2.6

    Backyard: 5/3 = 15/9

    front yard: 16/9

    16/9 + 15/9 = 31/9 = 3 and 4/9 is how much he used. 6 - 3 4/9 = 2 and 5/9.
