Part A: this equation can only have 1 solution.

    Part B:

    3 (2x - 7) = 3

    ⇔ 6x - 21 = 3

    ⇔ 6x = 3 + 21

    ⇔ 6x = 24

    ⇔ x = 24/6 = 4
