The lengths of the sides of a triangle are 4n, 2n+10, and 7n-15. is there a value of n that makes the trangle equilateral? explain. Wouldn't the angles have to equal 180, so it couldn't be n=5?

    Equilatral

    equi-equal

    lateral-side

    sides have to be equal

    therefor

    4n=2n+10=7n-15

    minus 2n from everybody

    2n=10=5n-15

    2n=10

    divide 2

    n=5

    see if that works

    10=5n-15

    10=5 (5) - 15

    10=25-15

    10=10

    true

    n=5
