The probability that the peg selected is yellow is 0.25

    Step-by-step explanation:

The bag contains Red, Yellow and Green Pegs.

    P (Red) = 0.35

    P (Green) = 0.4

    P (Yellow) = ?

The sum of any probability is always equal to 1

    Therefore:

    P (Red) + P (Green) + P (Yellow) = 1

    0.35+0.4+P (Yellow) = 1

    0.75+P (Yellow) = 1

    P (Yellow) = 1-0.75

    P (Yellow) = 0.25

The probability that the peg selected is yellow is 0.25
