What is the constant of variation, k, of the line y = kx through (3,18) and (5,30) ?

    Y - 18 = (30 - 18) / (5 - 3) (x - 3)

    y - 18 = 12/2 (x - 3)

    y - 18 = 6 (x - 3) = 6x - 18

    y = 6x

    The constant of variation (k) is 6.
