We can find the surface area of any pyramid by adding up the areas of its lateral faces and its base.

Surface area of any pyramid = area of base + area of each of the lateral faces

    Example:A=lw+l (w2) 2+h2+w (l2) 2+h2=3·2+3· (2

    2) 2+82+2· (3

    2) 2+82≈46.46559
