Write the value of c when the expression 12x+c is equivalent to 6 (2x-3)

    The distributive property: a (b + c) = ab + ac

    12x + c = 6 (2x - 3)

    12x + c = (6) (2x) + (6) (-3)

    12x + c = 12x + (-18)

    Therefore

    c = - 18
