The volume of a cone is 258.9 cubic centimeters. a cylinder has the same base and height as the cone. what is the volume in cubic centimeters of the cylinder

    Volume of a cylinder = A (base) * height

    Volume of a cone = 1/3*A (base) * height

    Because the base and height of the cylinder and cone are the same, we can write

    Volume of the cone = 1/3*A (base) * height = 1/3*Volume of the cylinder

    Volume of the cone = 1/3*Volume of the cylinder, so

    Volume of the cylinder=3*Volume of the cone = 3*258.9=776.6 cm³

    Volume of the cylinder = 776.6 cm³
