George is making cookies the recipe says he needs 3/4 cups of sugar. if he reduces the recipe to make half the number of cookies how much sugar would he need then

    To divide fractions you have to multiply by the reciprocal so instead of 3/4 divide 2/1 you would do 3/4 times 1/2 so you would get

    3/8 cups of sugar
