A rug had a length of 2 feet and a total area of 10ft. What is the width of the rug?

    The formula for area of a rectangle is : Area = Length x Width.

    Using the given information you have 10 = 2 x Width

    Now to find the width, divide both sides by the length:

    Width = 10 / 2

    Width = 5 feet.
