Mike is 4 years older than ron. in two years, the sum of their ages will be 84. how old are they now?

    Let r be Ron's age.

    let m be Mike's age.

    m=r+4

    m+r=84

    m=84-r

    r+4=84-r

    2r=80

    r=40

    m=44

    Ron is 40 and Mike is 44
