    First, lets solve for the slope (y2-y1/x2-x1).

    = 1 - (-2) / 12-6

    = 3/6

    = 1/2

    Second, find the y-intercept of the line.

    y = 1/2x + b

    -2 = 1/2 (6) + b

    -2 = 3 + b

    -2 - 3 = 3 - 3 + b

    -5 = b

    Third, put this information into the final slope-intercept form equation (y = mx + b).

    y = 1/2x - 5

    Best of Luck!
