He caught 1 3/16 pounds of fish.

    Minimum weight = 13/16 pounds.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    So far he caught 5/16 + 7/8

    = 5/16 + 14/16 = 19/16

    = 1 3/16 pounds.

    Minimum wight of the third fish = 2 - 1 3/16

    = 32/16 - 19/16

    = 13/16 pounds.
