The number of bacteria in a culture grows at a rate that is proportional to the number present. initially, there were 10 bacteria in the culture. if the doubling time is equal to 3 hours, what is the number of bacteria present after 24 hours?

    N = 10 (2) ^t where N = number of bacteria and t = time in multiples of 3 hours

    So when t = 24/3 we have

    N = 10 (2) ^8 = 2560 answer
