    Remember this: for a trig function of y = A sin (Bx + C) + D

    amplitude is A

    period is 2π/B

    phase shift is - C/B

    vertical shift is D

So the amplitude is - 4, the period is π and the phase shift is - 3.14/2 = 1.57.
