    M=dc/dp=4/6=4/6=2/3

    c (p) = 2p/3 + b using (6,4)

    4=2 (6) / 3+b

    4=4+b, b=0 so

    c (p) = 2p/3

    (the number of cherries needed as a function of the number of pies)
