Why do whole numbers raised to an exponent get greater while fractions raised to an exponent gets smaller

    Whole numbers are greter than 1

    remember that anything times 1 is the same

    fraction means a part of

    therfor a fraction of a fraction is a smaller part of a small part so it makes it smaller
