2y^3+2y=1 solve for y

    First you want to get y by itself so what you do is you subtract 3 from both sides and you get: 2y+2y=-2. Then you add 2y and 2y and you get 4y=-2. From there you divide by 4 to get y by itself and you get y=1/2
