A sports store sells bicycle baskets at $40.00 for two. another sports store sells bicycle baskets at $110 for five. which store sells at the better rate?

    Divide the values to find the unit rate (ie the price per single item)

    40/2 = 20

    110/5 = 22

    the first store sells each basket at $20

    the second store sells each basket at $22

    The first store is better since you save $2 per basket
