I don't really get this one. It says

Solve the equation. Check the solution.

6 (x - 2) = - 18

    Okay so it is 6 (x-2) = - 18

    so you first multiply 6 times x that is 6x, and 6 times - 2 that is - 12 so then it is

    6x-12 = - 18 so you pass the negative twelve to the other side and you do the invert operation so you pass it adding 6x = - 18+12 but you cant add negative and positive so you subtract it 6x = - 6, so now you have that but you still have 6x so 6x is multiplying and you pass it to the other side dividing, so 6/-6 so x = - 1
